Extended Family Shoot in Redcliffe, Queensland
If there’s one thing I have a soft spot for it is great-grandparents. I’m lucky enough to have two incredible grandmother’s who are well into their nineties still a part of my life. I know that on the must do list for my next trip home is getting those family photos of my children with their great-grandmothers. The maternal link is pretty incredible.
So when Tarryn asked if I could capture her family - complete with two great-grandmothers - it was a solid yes from me. Especially when it was the first time the whole family had been together in years. Capturing your family history is my why, making sure that you have precious photographs of the people you love.
Ever wonder what your family session will be like? I can give you the stock standard adjectives, but mostly what I want you to know is that your session will be yours. It will reflect your connections and your personality, in all the best ways. This family has not one but two zookeepers (how cool is that?) and halfway through the family was treated to a meet and greet with one of the gardens residents - a bearded dragon. We also paused at the end to marvel at a mama fruit bat and her baby. So, yes - each session has the same parts - the shot list and the basic flow- but the heart of a session? Totally a reflection of your family.
